Chasing overdue invoices is the job nobody in a small business wants and Trove has spent 15 months making that job disappear. Thanks to these efforts, Xero has named Trove a finalist in two categories at the 2026 Global App Awards: UK Small Business App of the Year and Global Emerging App of the Year.

Trove launched in May 2025 and went live on the Xero App Store in November 2025, which makes it one of the youngest apps on the shortlist.

What the two categories recognise

Small Business App of the Year goes to apps that make life measurably easier for small businesses. This could be saving them time, cutting their costs or helping them become more profitable. By automating invoice collection, Trove is targeting all three.

Emerging App of the Year is for apps that joined the Xero App Store in the last couple of years and are already making a real difference, so it’s judged on early traction rather than scale. Being a finalist for this award reflects how many Xero users Trove now works with - a number that has grown every month since launch.

Being on both lists means Trove is both being measured against apps that have been in the ecosystem for a decade and against the newest apps Xero thinks are worth watching.

Nine months on the Xero App Store, in numbers

Here are some of the ways Trove measures traction:

  • Over £20m collected for Trove customers
  • Live in 5 countries
  • 5-star rating on the Xero App Store
  • Featured 4 separate times, with signups rising at least 30% after each feature

What the team says

"We started Trove because we saw a gap. Other credit control tools were focused on going enterprise and their pricing reflected that. We wanted to give small businesses enterprise-level support at a price they could afford. We're delighted Trove is being recognised for helping these businesses."
